He started learning music with his grandfather who was a trombone player and big band arranger. \u00a0Benoit started playing guitar at age 11. Very young he showed interest in music production and audio recording. At age 14, he was operating a multi-track recording system and producing demos for local bands.<br>Benoit studied music at College de Sherbrooke and audio engineering at Berklee Music School.<br>Since 2005, Benoit has been working as a band leader and guitar player for Cirque du Soleil. He performed all around the world with the shows Saltimbanco, Corteo, Joy\u00e0, and Totem. We can hear his original music in TV shows like Hawaii-5-O (CBS), Wicked Tuna (National Geographic), and movies like A.C.O.D. (with Jessica Alba), I.T.
