The wood is subjected to a special heat treatment to volatilize excess moisture and oil, resulting in a rich organic sound and a vintage-like tone that can be produced over time. This heat treatment gives not only the sound but also the appearance of an austere texture as if the wood has been used for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sound of an acoustic guitar is produced when the top board of the body vibrates. The character of the wood used for the body sides and back is then added to the sound, and the amplified sound is output from the soundhole. No matter how good the wood used for the body sides and back if the body top wood is not good, the quality of the sound will decrease.
For this reason, the spruce wood on the top of the body, which is the foundation of the acoustic guitar sound, has been aged to achieve a rich, vintage-like sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another feature of the HF-V115ASE\/AGED is that it’s all-solid.
The body top is made of a single spruce piece and the bodyside backs are made of African mahogany in the same way. Compared to plywood guitars, all-solid guitars have richer wood vibrations, allowing you to enjoy a more authentic acoustic sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is often heard that a professional guitarist or an experienced acoustic guitarist won\u2019t use a brand new guitar as it is, rather having it set up by a reliable repair shop or a guitar builder before starting to use it. They know that having an acoustic guitar properly set up is very important if they want to reach their best performance and achieve the ideal music they would like to create. The undeniable fact is that having good playability really makes difference in the performance and sound of an acoustic guitar. At Headway, with our Japan Tune-up series, we are aware of this and we aim for superb playability even on our budget-friendly guitars. Every detail concerned with playability including the nut, saddle, frets, and neck action of JT guitars is carefully adjusted at our Deviser Workshop in Japan before they are dispatched to music stores. We use the term -Tune up- because the attunement done to JT guitars is not just simple adjustments to make the guitars playable, but they are to pull out the best of the guitars, enhancing the playability and the sound. JT guitars are a good fit for players at every level from entry class players to experienced ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new JT Series balances in a fine cost-performance line that achieves great quality, approaching that of a high-end model thanks to traditional Headway methods such as “post-coating” and “dovetail neck joint”, and all kinds of adjustments that pay close attention to details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The renewed JT guitars produced since the Spring of 2018 come to feature post-coating dovetail neck joint which contributes to both the sound and stability of the neck. Until then it has been feasible on only Headway guitars of higher ranges built by Aska builders due to requirements of highly skilled technique and preciseness, but we decided to give the new JT series the same treatment. As a result, the renewed JT guitars have increased articulation and sustain and increased stability of necks. The post coating neck joint offers a more sophisticated feel and appearance as well as providing preciseness<\/p>\n\n\n\n
