A STORK model joins the Japan Tune-up series

The semi-hollow “STORK” single-cutaway body model debuts in the Japan Tune-up series. Production of this Aska-Made lineup had been suspended for an extended period due to demand outpacing supply. Responding to numerous requests from users, it now makes a fresh start within the Japan Tune-up series. It retains its signature chambered construction and design, packed with quintessential jazz guitar characteristics.
Maple top × Okoume body

The body top features plain maple, while the back is crafted from okoume wood, an African species known for its acoustic properties similar to mahogany. Despite being a semi-hollow model, it delivers the focused sound demanded of an electric guitar, making it suitable for genres beyond jazz.
Chambered structure that produces rich resonance

The internal structure follows that of the Asuka Factory model, featuring a deeply carved chambered design. While retaining a semi-hollow structure with a center block, the design maximizes hollowed-out space to achieve rich natural resonance and reduced body weight.
Rich color lineup

This model features a set of see-through finishes that highlight the natural grain of maple wood. This combination not only delivers the signature playability of the Japan Tune-up series but also conveys the warm, inviting feel of wood you’ll want to keep close by.
Micarta Fingerboard

The fingerboard features Micarta, an artificial material made from resin with an appearance similar to ebony. It offers excellent durability and is easier to maintain compared to commonly used wooden fingerboard materials.
Alnico 2 Original Pickups

Features the SeventySeven AL2, an original SeventySeven pickup utilizing Alnico 2 magnets. It delivers sparkling, bell-like clarity in clean tones while maintaining a warm, non-fatiguing character. When playing with drive, it produces a crisp, edgy crunch sound. This pickup inspires creativity and enables rich, expressive playing.
Equipped with Kluson® machine heads

Features Kluson® brand machine heads with smooth knob rotation and stability. Reduces tuning stress, allowing you to focus on your performance instead of having to worry about your guitar going out of tune.
SeventySeven Guitars Japan Tune-up Series

SeventySeven Guitars is a well-reputed Japanese semi-acoustic/full-acoustic guitar brand that has been seeking high-quality pure sound since its establishment in 2006, and has added a new lineup in 2020.
The new “SeventySeven Japan Tune-Up Series” is based on the guitar-making know-how accumulated over 40 years of experience since the Headway factory was established in 1977. The guitars are set up from the factory with the utmost care to ensure that they fit the player’s hand straight out of the box.
Reliable setup by our Japanese workshop

It is said that professional guitarists do not use the guitars they buy as-is, but first take them to a trusted repairman and adjust them to their preferred settings before going on stage. Experienced guitarists will shave the nuts on their own guitars and modify them until they feel just the way they like them. A good setup is a prerequisite for a good performance, and the SeventySeven Japan Tune-Up series guitars are carefully set up from the factory to be ready for action by the musician.
Perfect String Action

String action is a major factor in the playability of a guitar. We carefully adjust each guitar to the proper string action with an emphasis on ease of string pressing.
Fret Processing

By carefully rounding the edges of each fret using different grades of sandpaper and steel wool, the entire neck is left such that to let the left hand moves smoothly when playing. It is possible to move as if gliding to the high frets.
