The long-awaited “WOODLINE × Sakura” model is now coming to the JT series【One Day Guitar Show 2026】

WOODLINE, crafted from cherry wood and originally created as a limited-edition model, is set to go on sale as part of the Japan Tune-up Series (JT Series). Featuring an iconic soundhole modeled after cherry blossom petals and a color scheme inspired by Japan’s four seasons, this preview article offers a sneak peek at the model’s appeal ahead of its official unveiling at the One Day Guitar Show on November 20.

Our Commitment to Sakura Guitars

Sound hole shaped like a cherry blossom

This model features a semi-hollow body, and the soundhole is designed in the shape of cherry blossom petals. To complement the slightly slimmer “downsized” shape of the WOODLINE series, it is designed to be slightly smaller than a standard F-hole, giving it a clean, streamlined appearance. As a characteristic of the semi-hollow body, this design contributes to both a rich resonance and a lighter overall weight.

Gradient colors inspired by the four seasons

The lineup features four colors inspired by Japan’s four seasons. Each model incorporates a headstock in a matching color and features a gradient finish that reveals the grain of the cherry wood, vividly expressing the changing seasons.

Sakura Motif

The position markers feature a cherry blossom petal-inspired inlay. Made from natural white mother-of-pearl, they create a beautiful contrast with the ebony fingerboard. The headstock also features a special WOODLINE logo with a cherry blossom motif.

Made from domestically sourced Sakura wood

As part of Sakura Guitar’s philosophy, we actually use domestically sourced Sakura wood for the body top. Not only does this allow you to appreciate the beautiful grain, but it also adds the sweet tone unique to cherry wood to the sound.

JT Series Common Specifications

Brass Neck Set Plate

Features a brass neck plate engraved with the Bacchus logo. It is heavier than previous models and contributes to ideal low-to-midrange output.

Controls for Expanding Your Sound

The passive 4-string model features a Turbo Switch that switches to series (in-line) wiring when the tone knob is pulled up, producing a thick sound similar to that of a humbucking pickup. (*When the Turbo Switch is on, volume is adjusted using the front volume knob. The bridge volume knob is bypassed in this mode.)

The 5-string model features an active design with a built-in preamp. It includes a simple 2-band EQ that allows you to control the treble and bass frequency ranges. A mini-switch on the body lets you instantly switch to passive mode, giving you a wider range of tones.
