Natsuko Miyamoto (MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS)

Biography

The bassist and vocalist of MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS, formed in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, in 2002.

In 2007, they were selected as the top artists in an audition hosted by EMI Music Japan, and as a prize, they recorded an album in the U.S. produced by Dave Fridmann. In July of that same year, they made their debut appearance at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’s “ROOKIE A GO GO” stage, and in 2009, they performed on the RED MARQUEE stage. They announced a hiatus in September 2012 and resumed activities in December 2015. Since their return, they have continued to work at their own pace, and around 2022, they expanded their reach and began touring overseas. In 2023, their first North American tour sold out every venue. In 2024, they held their first European tour, followed in September by a second North American tour expanded to 27 shows across 25 cities. In November, they held an Asian tour spanning 9 cities in 8 countries, including Japan. In 2025, they held their second European tour, expanded to 23 cities across 15 countries.
