The main inspiration for these new models is Charcoal as the name would suggest, a material of a dark color mainly created by people by burning wood. Charcoal has been a part of people’s lives since ancient times, and has always been close to their hands.
Enjoy the warmth of wood with the black coloring gained after converting to coal, and which gets its unique texture based on the grain of the wood used.

Japan Tune-up Series

All products in the Japan Tune-up Series, also known as the “JT Series”, are individually tuned and set up in a dedicated Deviser department in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, with the idea that players can start using them straight out of the box.

Selected Workshops

Production lines are selected from among Deviser’s overseas production sites at plants with the highest production technology, and quality control is performed by JT series specialists to ensure a high standard of performance and quality.

Designed to make the most out of its color scheme

The word “black” in Japanese can mean a variety of colors. Among them, we focused on “charcoal”, which has been a part of our lives for a long time. In order to express this black, we started by producing color samples at the Aska workshop, and then collaborated with overseas production bases to create a color that conveys the atmosphere of the grain of the wood.

Aged white parts

One of the appeals of the COAL BLACK EDITION models feature aged white parts that give it a retro feel.
Starting with the pickguard, the pickup covers and mounting rings are designed to complement the color of the wood grain.

Other Exterior

Chrome color was selected for hardware such as the machineheads and bridge, and combined with the COAL BLACK color scheme, it gives a cool look as a result. The brand logo using mother of pearl shells, shines on the headstock.

Lineup selection

The COAL BLACK EDITION models will be added to the JT series of three all-solid acoustic guitars that emphasize the clean sound typical of Headway, as well as two SeventySeven semi-acoustic “EXRUBATO” models, semi-acoustic models by SeventySeven that follow a more traditional design. The EXRUBATO models come in two options to give you a choice of humbucker or P-90 type pickups to better fit your own playing style.

Limited edition goods

To commemorate this release, a commemorative cloth and sticker with a limited edition logo are included. Please enjoy your guitar life with these new and unique models.
