Introduction

Video

V-shaped model featuring an F-hole and spruce top

The BFV-JV features a semi-hollow body with an F-hole. The top is crafted from spruce, a classic choice for acoustic guitars. By carving the Nyatoh body as deeply as possible, a spacious interior cavity is created, producing a rich acoustic tone that is its greatest appeal.

Body made of Nyatoh wood

The body features hardwood nato wood. It shares a similar color to mahogany, another hardwood, and its sound is also close to mahogany, characterized by a rich resonance in the midrange. Combined with the body’s semi-hollow construction, you can enjoy a natural, warm tone.

Gold Foil Pickups

Features the Gold Foil pickup, once used in vintage Japanese guitars. With a slightly subdued output of approximately 6k, it delivers a sparkling sound, while the warm tone from its humbucking-style Alnico 5 bar magnet adds depth to its character. Its appearance also lends a retro feel to the actual instrument.

T.O.M Bridge & Toggle Switch

Features a T.O.M. type bridge that transmits string vibration more directly to the body. Without a tremolo unit, string tension remains stable, making tuning more resistant to drift. This design also facilitates direct transmission of string vibration to the body, resulting in a mechanism that readily produces sustain. The pickup selector employs a toggle switch for instantaneous position switching.

Set up by the domestic specialized inspection department

Every instrument is inspected and set up at our dedicated inspection department at Deviser’s headquarters in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, before shipping. By carefully identifying individual variations inherent to the wood and meticulously adjusting each instrument to ensure uniformity, we deliver reliable playability that feels comfortable in the hands from the very first moment you take it out of the box.
