「DUKE」× P-90-type Pikcup

The “DUKE” model, born in 2000 from the Handmade Series, the top-tier line of the Bacchus brand. The new model of the ‘DUKE’ in the Global Series, which incorporates its specifications, features P-90-type pickups. The neck pickup employs the visually distinctive staple type pole pieces. This lineup, offering a different appeal from the standard humbucker, expands the possibilities of the “DUKE”.
STP-Alnico Staple-Type Pickup

The P-90-style pickups are “STP-Alnico” and “STP-5”. The “STP-Alnico” in the bridge position features vintage-style staple-shaped pole pieces and offers a natural tone with a slightly acoustic resonance. The bridge position “STP-5” combines the characteristic sparking tone of a single-coil with a sweet, warm tone. Both pickups utilize Alnico 5 magnets and metal-braided wire.
The arch shape inherited from the Handmade Series

This model retains the distinctive archtop shape from the Handmade Series DUKE model produced at the Aska Workshop. The sharply defined curve of the arch adds definition to the body top, the face of the guitar.
Optimal neck angle for superior playability & deep joint for enhanced vibration transmission

The neck angle significantly impacts playability and sound in set-neck models. While replicating the neck angle of the Japan-made Handmade Series DUKE model, which features the same arch shape, we’ve made subtle adjustments tailored to the wood and design. This achieves the optimal balance between a crisp attack born from moderate tension and rich body resonance.
Deep joint with high vibration transmission

Features a deep joint design with a large bonding area to the body, ensuring robust vibration transmission. Its wide contact surface also offers the advantage of facilitating precise installation angles and woodworking accuracy.
Body thickness designed for playability

The body features a thickness adjusted within the limits of maintaining the DUKE’s signature exterior balance. By adopting a slightly slimmer design, we’ve successfully reduced the overall weight of the body, making it easier for even relatively smaller users to hold and significantly improving its handling.
Slim Neck

The neck features a slim U-shape profile, making it easier for players with smaller hands to fret the strings and allowing for smooth left-hand fingering so you can focus on your playing.
Set up by the domestic specialized inspection department

Every unit is inspected and set up at our dedicated inspection department at Deviser’s headquarters in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture before shipping. By carefully identifying individual variations inherent to the wood and meticulously adjusting each instrument to ensure uniformity, we deliver reliable playability that feels comfortable in the hands from the very first moment they take it out of the box.
