Introduction

New -Chiipan- signature model

The Universe Series introduces a new signature model of Chiipan, a bassist with a large number of followers who posts videos on YouTube and other social media. Under the supervision of Chii-Pan, the concept of this bass is being “beginner-friendly,” and a 33-inch scale, which is slightly shorter than that of a regular electric bass, was selected for it. Furthermore, stainless steel frets and a new heel-less cut at the joint make it an ideal model for players who are just starting out on the bass.

33″ Scale for improvements in both sound and playability

The 33-inch scale is friendly to players who are just starting out on the electric bass or have small hands. The overall length is approximately 2.5 cm shorter than the common 34-inch scale, which not only reduces string tension but also makes fingering easier due to the slightly narrower spacing between each fret. This model ensures ease of playability while reducing the negative impact on sound that can come from shorter scale models when compared to other compact medium- and short-scale models.

Satin-finished maple neck

It features a standard maple neck for electric basses with a matte satin finish. Compared to a gloss finish, this finish has a very thin coating that retains the texture of the wood and supports smooth position changes with the left hand.

Stainless Steel Fret

Stainless steel material frets, which are harder than normal materials and are characterized by their longevity, are used for this model. Since the frets do not wear down and tarnish easily when used for long periods of time, daily maintenance is also easier.

Heel-less cut

Instead of a standard neck plate, a “heel-less cut” is used where the joint between the body and neck is shaved at an angle. This allows for smooth fingering even when playing at the higher frets.

Special design

Chii-panda Logo

On the headstock, as a mark of the signature model, there is a logo mark of the original character “Chii-panda” drawn by Chiipan herself.

Pawprint position marks

The 12th fret is decorated with position marks in the shape of a panda’s pawprints. This is a new design not found on the first model.
