The first -Deluxe- 5-string electric bass with active specification [Bacchus Universe Series] model is here!
The “DX”, or “Deluxe” models are the latest addition to the Universe Series lineup, featuring stainless steel frets, heel-less cut, and other full-fledged modern specs in an entry-level model. This new active model with a preamplifier further expands the range of sound creation that’s available in the DX series.
2-band EQ with active circuit
In addition to volume and blender knobs, it also features a simple 2-band EQ with original preamp. The treble/bass control can be adjusted at your fingertips. The sound of the active bass is clear and contoured, and it cuts through the mix.
The active circuit is powered by one 9V battery. A dedicated battery holder is mounted on the body back for easy battery replacement.
WOODLINE Shape
Another feature is the slim body shape inherited from the top-of-the-line WOODLINE family. This improves the fit of the body when held and enhances playability and overall comfort.

Stainless steel frets
The biggest feature of the DX model is the stainless steel frets, which are often only seen in higher-end models. Compared to nickel frets, the DX model has a smoother feel when the strings are pressed and a sound character closer to high notes. The high durability due to its resistance to wear makes it a good choice for a second bass or as a first bass for beginners.
Heel-less cutaway
The neck joint is heel-less cut to enhance playability in the higher frets. The neck plate, which is often found on traditional models, has been removed, and the area contoured to further enhance playability.
Roasted maple neck
The roasted maple neck has become a staple of Bacchus’ guitars and basses, and the DX series is no exception. The heat-treated neck reduces warping caused by humidity changes, and its aged-like sound gives the guitar a vintage feel even when it is brand new.
15 colors to find your own unique model
Under the supervision of Aska Factory, which produces the Handmade Series, a lineup of various colors has been created for the DX model. A wide range of colors is available to you, from cool metallic colors, standard burst colors, and pop pastel colors.
