WJB-CHIIPAN
Since its release in 2019, Chiipan’s -WL-CHIIPAN-, her first signature model has been well-received. Designed under the artist’s own supervision, it was developed with the concept of being “a bass recommended for players with smaller frames and hands, as well as entry-level users.”
Then in 2025, the new model ‘WJB-CHIIPAN’ arrives, inheriting its basic design and concept while achieving a more accessible price point. The WJB-CHIIPAN evolves further with stainless steel frets and a heel-less cutaway, while retaining the signature 33-inch scale and overall design of the original model.

Features
Features a 33-inch scale length, 1 inch (approx. 2.5 cm) shorter than the most common 34-inch scale for electric basses. The slightly narrower fret spacing makes fingering easier, while the slightly lower string tension reduces the force required to press the strings. This specification is recommended for players with smaller hands and beginners.
Compared to “medium scale” (32 inches) basses or “short scale” (30 inches) basses, the 33-inch scale has minimal impact on the sound, preserving its natural tone. This balanced scale length accommodates a wide range of genres and playing styles.
Featuring a matte-finished neck with a smooth, velvety feel. The thin coating allows the wood’s texture to shine through while ensuring the neck fits comfortably in your hand and enabling smooth left-hand position shifts. Beyond the obvious performance benefits, this design enhances overall aesthetic of the instrument.
The headstock features the signature model’s logo, an original character called “Chii-panda” drawn by Chiipan herself.
The 12th fret features a panda’s paw prints position marker. This is a new design not found on the original model.
Features stainless steel frets, known for being harder and more durable than standard materials. These frets resist wear even with extended playing, allowing you to enjoy your instrument for years without needing fret replacement.
Features a heel-less cut, where the joint between the body and neck is beveled. This enables smooth fingering even when playing higher frets.
