Two new colors,「Amethyst Purple」&「Light Silver」join the popular WL4-STD/RSM model’s color lineup【Bacchus Global Series】

Two new colors, -Amethyst Purple- and -Light Silver-, will be added to the popular WL4-STD/RSM model in the Bacchus Global Series.

This model, which used to be available in 24 colors, now has a total of 26 colors with the addition of the above two colors. It’s almost guaranteed you can find a color you’ll love in this wide roster of colors.

What kind of model is the「WL4-STD/RSM」?

For those who aren’t familiar with it, here are some of the features of the WL4-STD/RSM.

WL (WOODLINE) body inheriting the slim shape of higher-end models

The WL body inherits the refined shape of the higher-end “WOODLINE” models and is slimmer than that of a standard JB-type bass. This improves the fit when playing and provides comfortable playability even during long hours of playing. It’s excellent handling supports the player’s free expression.

Roasted maple neck

Roasted maple is maple wood that has been heat-treated at high temperatures. This treatment removes moisture from the wood and improves the rigidity of the neck. The effect is also audible, producing a rich, resonant sound with a vintage, aged, mellow tone.
The satin-finish paint on the neck contributes to smooth positional movement and makes it easy to play, further increasing playability.

Turbo switch

The turbo switch, which is standard on the higher-end “WOODLINE” model, is also installed on this model. When the tone knob is pulled up, the turbo switch is turned on and the two single pickups are connected in series. This produces a fat, high-output sound like a humbucker pickup and can be used for melody lines in songs where a little more volume is needed.
※When the Turbo switch is on, the volume is adjusted with the neck pickup Vol knob. The bridge pickup Vol knob is bypassed at this time.

The 2 colors new to the Bacchus Global Series

Both of the two new colors will be the first time for the Bacchus Global Series lineup to be offered in this color scheme.

Amethyst Purple

The coloring is based on the image of amethyst, a beautiful purple crystal. The mysterious beauty of amethyst is expressed through a metallic coating that is reminiscent of the luminosity of crystal. When exposed to light, it emits a delicate shimmer that accentuates its presence on stage.

Light Silver

Light silver, as the name indicates, is a lighter shade of silver. The finish gives it a metallic texture, yet it has a subdued tone that is not overly cold. Sophistication shines through in this simple color tone, giving a stylish and modern feel.
