「BMS」 A new guitar featuring a redesigned model has arrived!【Bacchus Universe Series】
The Universe series, beloved by players from beginners to advanced, welcomes a new limited-edition model featuring the medium-scale “BMS” model’s TTPG (Tortoise Pickguard) arrangement. This model adds new appeal with its distinctive tortoiseshell-patterned pickguard and the first-ever roasted maple neck for a “BMS” model.
Tortoiseshell pickguard
The most distinctive feature of this instrument is undoubtedly its tortoiseshell-patterned pickguard. This striking pickguard, which gives the body top—the model’s defining feature—its character, harmonizes beautifully with the solid-color body, lending the entire instrument a traditional feel.
Medium scale
The “BMS” model features a slightly shorter medium scale length compared to standard guitars. As evident from comparing the fretboard length in the image above, it has a shorter scale length (the distance from the nut to the bridge saddle) than a typical guitar. A shorter scale length moderately reduces string tension, making playing in general and bending smoother.
3-way pickup selector
Features a practical 3-way toggle switch pickup selector. Enables instant switching between the “Neck, Mix, and Bridge” pickups.
The first “BMS” model to feature a “Roasted Maple Fingerboard & Neck”
The roasted maple used in many models of the Bacchus Universe Series is now featured for the first time in the “BMS” model. Roasted maple is wood that has undergone high-temperature heating to evaporate moisture and oils within the wood, enhancing its rigidity. When used for the neck, this process not only improves stability but also affects the sound, producing a rich, natural resonance and an aged tone reminiscent of vintage instruments that have aged over time.
