Bacchus Japan Tune-up Series

One of the most important parts of the guitar-making process is the final tuning process, carried out by our experienced Japanese craftsmen. At the specialized division within the Deviser Technical Center located meters away from the Aska Workshop, each instrument undergoes individual tuning tailored to its specific characteristics.
Inheriting the spirit of the Bacchus Handmade Series that started in 2001, the JT Series offers players instruments that are in top condition straight out of the box and ready to tackle any challenge.

Shimmering quilted maple wood body top

Beautifully grained quilted maple adorns the body top of this TACTICS24 model. An extremely thin, open-pore coating that does not fill the pores of the wood is applied, giving it a matte finish that brings out the texture of the wood.

Heel Cut & Back Contour

The heel-cut design, which eliminates the neck plate, provides improved playability at the higher frets. In addition, the contoured body back makes playing for a long time stress-free since the guitar rests comfortably against you.

24-fret design & Stainless steel frets

As the name indicates, this model features a 24-fret specification with wear-resistant stainless steel frets. Jumbo-size frets are used for smooth string pressing and extended sustain.

Locking Machineheads

The Locking machine heads are a mechanism in which the rod in the string post rises when the wheel on the back of the machine head is turned, and locks when the string is clamped. By reducing the number of windings on the string post, tuning stability is dramatically improved.

Since this mechanism clamps the strings, there is no need to wind more strings, which has the advantage of reducing the time required for string changes and reducing tension-induced buzzing.

Coil tap function & 2-stud tremolo unit

In addition to a coil-tap function that produces a pseudo-single-coil tone by switching a mini-switch, a Wilkinson® 2-stud tremolo for smooth arming comes standard with this model.

■ About the JT Series

The most important feature is the final tuning process, carried out by our experienced Japanese craftsmen. At the specialized division within the Deviser Technical Center located meters away from the Aska Workshop, each instrument undergoes individual tuning tailored to its specific characteristics.

In addition to the above work, string action adjustment and final finishing of the fingerboard, which directly affect playability, are also thoroughly performed as tune-up items.

In addition to fret rounding and nut filing, we meticulously perform string action adjustments and give the fingerboard a final adjustment, all tasks which directly impact playability as part of our tuning-up process. New guitars and basses often come with various playability issues, but the JT Series maintains this commitment to giving the player an instrument that is in top condition straight out of the box.
