STR JTG DESIGN

About STR JTG DESIGN
STR JTG DESIGN was created by legendary guitar builder James Tyler, who has been crafting high-end component guitars since the 1970s.
James Tyler and STR craftsman Satoru Yatsuzuka first met in 2014, when a new series for the Japanese market was being planned for the James Tyler brand. While searching for a manufacturer capable of producing guitars to the same high standards as their LA workshop, the Aska Workshop led by Satoru Yatsuzuka caught their attention.

Several craftsmen from the Yatsuzuka and the Aska Workshop workers were invited to the LA workshop to learn the James Tyler guitar manufacturing process. Afterward, they spent several months completing a prototype. James Tyler was so impressed by these prototypes that he remarked, “They are so well-made, I couldn’t tell the difference between them and the ones I made in my LA workshop.” Subsequently, the Aska Workshop began production of the James Tyler Guitar Japan Series, with Satoru Yatsuzuka playing a central role in this endeavor.
This STR JTG DESIGN was newly created by James Tyler for Yatsuzuka Satoru’s own brand, STR, as a token of appreciation for Satoru’s contributions to the Japan Series.
James Tyler himself spent several months using CAD to complete the design.

STR JTG DESIGN masterfully blends Satoru Yatsuzuka’s unparalleled craftsmanship with guitar designs refined over many years by James Tyler. Pick one up and experience its supreme quality for yourself.
