Spring 2026 Limited Edition Sakura Guitar
The STD Series introduces a limited-edition 2026 Sakura Guitar featuring eye-catching designs that capture the essence of spring. Crafted with genuine Japanese cherry wood, it embodies the philosophy of expressing the beauty of cherry blossoms through both sound and appearance, fully showcasing the charm of the sakura.
Cherry blossoms swaying in the moonlit night
A night-blooming cherry blossom gradient evoking the swaying night blossoms under moonlight is used for this model. While contrasting with the pale cherry blossom gradient of the same model’s alternate color, which imagines sunlight shining through sakura blossoms, the shared application of pink pearl from above conjures images of cherry blossoms fluttering in the night breeze and the twinkling night sky.
Yamazakura (Wild Sakura) Back & Sides
Back & sides for this model are crafted from Yamazakura (Japanese wild cherry wood) harvested domestically. Characterized by exceptional hardness, it offers a rich low-mid range while producing the sweet tone unique to Sakura wood.

The headstock features a design of a woman holding a Japanese umbrella, a theme seen in recent Sakura models. The brush-stroke style design emphasizes a Japanese aesthetic, working together with the fingerboard inlay to create the overall worldview.
Expressing Japanese aesthetics through inlay work
To express a Japanese aesthetic, we’ve crafted a design that evokes the spirit of Japan through the use of multiple materials, capturing the essence of a winding cherry tree branch.
34 Semi-Forward Shifted Bracing
Headway Master Builder Yasuo Momose studied the bracing of a 1934 vintage guitar and developed his own unique bracing system. This system features a semi-forward shift where the X-brace crosses closer to the soundhole, resulting in better low-end response and a more voluminous tone compared to a new guitar. By positioning the X-brace approximately 5mm closer to the bridge than a standard forward shift, the design also considers the stability of the top plate.
