A staple-type-pickup equipped model, the “DUKE-CTM Alnico” is here! 【Bacchus Global Series】

The DUKE family, which inherits the specifications of the flagship model in the upper tier of the Bacchus lineup, now welcomes the DUKE-CTM Alnico equipped with a staple-type pickup. Introducing this new model, notable for its simple yet sophisticated and cohesive design.
The P-90 pickup reveals a different side

First and foremost is the staple-type P-90 pickup “STP-Alnico” mounted in the neck position. Compared to standard P-90 types, it’s called the ‘staple’ type due to the appearance of its polepieces. Their sound features a natural tone with a hint of acoustic resonance. The bridge position “STP-5” combines the characteristic tone of a single-coil with a sweet, warm tone.
Both pickups feature Alnico 5 magnets and metal braided wire. Enjoy the warm sound of Alnico 5 combined with the extended sustain characteristic of a set neck.
Featuring visually stunning gold hardware
This instrument features gold-plated hardware, including the machine heads, bridge, and saddle. These accents complement the black finish and seven-layer binding around the body’s perimeter, adding a subtle touch of elegance to its refined aesthetic.
Gold parts that stand out against the body color

The gold parts mounted on the arched body (a specification where the body top is shaped like a gentle hill rather than being flat) may also reflect off the gloss-painted body, depending on the viewing angle or lighting. This further accentuates the contrast with the overall color scheme of the actual unit, allowing it to maintain a subtle yet sufficient presence even on dark stages.
Headstock and fingerboard that bring a sense of unity throughout the entire instrument
The headstock features prominent 7-layer binding extending to the very edges, creating a unified appearance with a cohesive “white, black, and gold” color scheme. The fingerboard employs block position markers, offering a more assertive look compared to standard markers that effectively balance the overall aesthetic of the instrument.
“DUKE” model
The “DUKE” was born as the first set-neck model in the Handmade Series, the flagship line of the Bacchus brand.
In recent years, production has been unable to keep pace with demand, resulting in a persistent shortage of supply in the market. However, in response to user requests for DUKE, a new DUKE model was launched in 2023 and has continued to expand its offerings to this day.
Bringing out the inherent beauty and natural tones of carefully selected wood.
And to craft guitars that players can trust, allowing them to express themselves freely, using the reliable woodworking techniques we’ve built since our founding in 1977.
Guided by these concepts, the DUKE model was created.
The arch shape inherited from the Handmade Series

This model retains the distinctive archtop shape from the Handmade Series DUKE model produced at the Aska Workshop. The sharply defined curve of the arch adds definition to the body top, the face of the guitar.
Optimal neck angle for superior playability & deep joint for enhanced vibration transmission
The neck angle significantly impacts playability and sound in set-neck models. While replicating the neck angle of the domestic Handmade Series DUKE model, which features the same arch shape, we’ve made subtle adjustments tailored to the wood and design. This achieves the optimal balance between a crisp attack born from moderate tension and rich body resonance.
The neck-to-body joint employs a deep joint method, featuring a wide bonding surface that effectively transmits vibrations. This wide contact area also offers the advantage of facilitating precise angle adjustments and woodworking accuracy.
Body and neck thickness designed for playability
The body features a thickness adjusted within the limits of maintaining the DUKE’s signature exterior balance. By adopting a slightly slimmer design, we’ve successfully reduced the overall weight of the body, making it easier for even relatively smaller users to hold and significantly improving its handling.
The neck features a slim U-shape profile, making it easier for players with smaller hands to fret the strings and allowing for smooth left-hand fingering so you can focus on your playing.
