Headway 2025 New Series

To help you experience the joy of playing music

Features

Solid wood body top

body

The Essential Edition employs a solid wood top that significantly impacts the sound, pursuing the “superb resonance” that Headway has always valued.

The Difference Between Solid wood top and laminated wood top

sample74

“Solid wood” refers to a board cut directly from a single piece of timber, as opposed to one made by laminating multiple layers together. Compared to laminated wood, solid wood is characterized by its greater ability to transmit vibrations, producing a more natural and rich resonance.

Cow bone nut & saddle

nut

The nut and saddle, crucial components that support the strings on an acoustic guitar, are crafted from high-grade cattle bone—a material also used in premium guitars. Compared to the resin commonly found in budget instruments, cow bone delivers a focused, cohesive sound.

The warmth unique to natural materials

saddle

The appeal of cow bone material lies not only in its sound but also in its texture. Its appearance and feel, conveying the warmth unique to natural materials.

Multi-binding decoration

Because it’s an instrument designed for you to handle almost every day, we paid meticulous attention to every detail of its decoration to ensure you feel that instant satisfaction upon touching it and the joy of owning it. The body’s perimeter features multi-layered binding made of alternating white and black celluloid, subtly enhancing its premium feel.

Sating-finished Neck

The neck features a smooth satin finish that feels pleasant to the touch. This improves the glide of your left hand, supporting smooth chord changes and finger movements. Meanwhile, the body boasts a luxurious gloss finish. Using Headway’s traditional “post-processing assembly method”, the body and neck with their different finishes are seamlessly joined. *For details on the post-processing assembly method, please refer to the explanation at the bottom of this page.

Color

Amber Sunburst

A warm-toned burst color inspired by the hues of amber.
By narrowing the width of the burst section, we achieved a more refined look.
The same burst finish is applied to the sides and back of the body, creating a unified look.

Headway’s Dedicated Manufacturing Process

Headway’s Dedicated Manufacturing Process

The “post-processing assembly” method used since our founding

Headway employs its signature “post-processing assembly” method, a commitment since its founding. Post-processing assembly refers to the process of painting the neck and body separately before joining them, requiring high precision in workmanship. Painting the neck and body separately involves more labor and cost than conventional methods, but this results in a cleaner joint and enhances the guitar’s overall quality.

Furthermore, by installing frets onto the fingerboard during the assembly process after joining the body and neck, we minimize variations in fret height and deliver consistent playability.
