Headway introduces numerous premium models crafted from rare materials! 【Deviser One Day 2025】

At the One Day Guitar Show 2025, a dazzling array of show models will debut, including one that fuses the zodiac sign of the Snake with Headway’s symbol, the cherry blossom, alongside special models generously crafted with rare woods.

Designs featuring motifs such as the traditional Headway woman holding a Japanese umbrella, white snakes, Yoshino’s thousand cherry blossoms, and robins are scattered throughout, utilizing the narrative quality of the materials to embody a truly unique worldview.
Please look forward to a special lineup unique to 2025.
Custom Shop Model Carrying On the Master Craftsman’s Spirit
Masato Yasui’s “Snake Sakura”

This magnificent instrument, truly worthy of its name as a show model, features a dazzling design that fuses the snake motif of the 2025 zodiac year with Headway’s signature cherry blossom theme. Motifs inspired by the materials themselves—such as the “woman holding a Japanese umbrella” walking down a path strewn with cherry blossoms and the white snake, treasured since ancient times as a symbol of good fortune adorn various parts of the guitar, expressing a unique and unparalleled worldview.
Featuring snakewood accents throughout, this ultimate special edition exudes a rich and beautiful presence.
Snake wood, a rare material seldom seen as guitar wood.
Native to Central and South America, this wood is exceptionally hard and heavy, boasting a density so high that it sinks in water despite being a wood, with a specific gravity reaching 1.2 to 1.3.
Furthermore, its slender trunk yields only a very limited amount of usable timber for guitars. Due to its rarity, it is a special material scarcely found on the market.
We used that snakewood not only as the centerpiece of the body back, but also lavishly throughout the instrument—from the fingerboard and binding to the pickguard.
Headway, taken over by Arata Furihata

This Custom Shop model, crafted by Arata Furihata with his own sensibilities, inherits the traditional robust construction and rich resonance built by Headway’s Chief Technical Officer, Yasuo Momose, who sadly passed away last year.
It’s a guitar designed to let you appreciate the simple, unadorned sound and character of the wood itself. The HD and HF models, differing in body shape, each feature distinct bracing patterns, giving tangible form to the ideal tone envisioned by Furihata.
Premium-grade Honduran mahogany
The impetus for creating this model was the high-grade Honduran mahogany for the sides and back, with its dense grain, that we acquired earlier this year. Using this precious wood, we wanted to build a guitar with an authentic and ideal sound, and that desire is what started this project.
Yoshino Sakura made with Nara Prefecture-grown cherry blossom tree wood

A limited-edition Sakura model for the 2025 One Day Guitar Show, featuring side and back wood crafted from cherry trees in Kurotaki Village, Nara Prefecture, will be released.
Inspired by the thousand cherry trees of Yoshino Mountain adjacent to Kurotaki Village, we scattered blooming cherry blossoms throughout the design. Incorporating motifs connected to Nara, such as the prefectural bird, the Japanese robin, and deer antlers, we expressed the story inherent in the materials across the entire guitar.
Nara-inspired Ornamentation
This instrument features designs steeped in Nara heritage throughout, including a soundhole cover depicting Kinpō Shrine, officially endorsed by the Nara Tourism Association, and a top adorned with ink-wash style cherry blossoms reminiscent of Nara’s specialty, sumi ink. The headstock features an elegant Japanese design combining deer antlers and cherry blossoms. The fingerboard showcases an inlay of a robin perched on a cherry branch, while the pickguard is adorned with swirling petals. This guitar radiates both splendor and narrative throughout its entire body.
Aged over time, the matured “80’s Sitka Spruce”

A limited edition model featuring “80’s Sitka Spruce” top wood sourced from logs harvested in the 1980s. Having undergone approximately 40 years of natural drying, this wood possesses a richly matured resonance, a difference discernible even from a light tap on the unfinished board. Compared to standard Sitka Spruce, it offers longer sustain and features pleasant high tones within its aged texture. Furthermore, the wood grain, which has changed to a subdued color over the years, adds depth not only to the sound but also to the appearance. Both models combine this with the finest woods, such as Madagascar rosewood and Cuban mahogany.
Y’s Concept by Masato Yasui

Based on Headway’s regular model “The Five”, which pursues modern sound and functionality, this Y’s Concept model incorporates Masato Yasui’s signature structural features, such as a pinless bridge and a 648mm scale.
Designed with modern playing styles like solo guitar in mind, it enhances playability while its minimalist aesthetic, ditching the pickguard, brings out the pure tone from its materials.
F’s Concept with New Design by Furihata

Based on the specifications of the iconic HD-115, Headway’s signature model since the 80s, this F’s Concept model incorporates Arata Furihata’s unique modifications.
The HD-115 retains its robust construction, including the solid feel of the V-shaped neck and ARS (Rear Shift) bracing, while incorporating Furihata’s signature cross-round 3P back and elbow contour.
A new form of Headway that blends traditional style with modern looks and functionality.
