Introduction
Matsumoto Symbols and Seasonal Designs

Matsumoto Castle, the symbol of Matsumoto, has an outer five-story, inner six-story keep, the oldest of the 12 existing keeps, and its black lacquered appearance is particularly impressive. Its beauty is enhanced by the seasonal scenery of cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, and snow.
Since 2014, Deviser’s “Sakura Guitar” has also continued to “create guitars with a story” with the expression of the four seasons at its core. The “Matsumoto Edition” model combines the elegance of Matsumoto Castle and scenes of the four seasons in its design. It features a black color to resemble the castle keep and four different designs representing spring, summer, fall, and winter. From Matsumoto, the holy land of guitar manufacturing, the appeal of Matsumoto Castle will be conveyed to the world.
Ink Black Color

The body is colored in “ink black” to resemble the castle keep of Matsumoto Castle. The black tones that allow the grain of the Sakura wood to show through are difficult to achieve, and the coloring was done with the skill and sensibility of a craftsman who has painted many guitars.
Pickguard design
The pickguard includes an inlay design according to the four seasons around Matsumoto Castle, with colorful designs of cherry blossoms in spring, water lilies in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and snowflakes in winter.

The elegant inlay present in the fretboard comes together, forming a G clef.
Body back

The Sakura wood on the back and sides of the body, which is the most distinctive feature of the Sakura Guitar, produces what we describe as a “Sakura sound” with a distinctive mid-range tone. The center of the body back is made of Kaede (Japanese Maple), another Japanese wood material, with a design of the four seasons and a graceful koi fish, inspired by the Matsumoto Castle moat.
Headstock

Matsumoto Castle, with its distinctive silhouette including the outer five-story castle keep, is incorporated throughout. The design was made to fit in with the guitar by focusing on the outline, and is expressed in a solid silhouette.
Headway principles

Although the design of the Sakura guitar is eye-catching, Headway has not forgotten its fundamental belief that it is a guitar that can be played for a long time with a good sound.
The neck uses the “Extra Slim U Neck” design, which is both easy to play and durable, and the bracing uses the “Semi-Forward Shift Bracing” design, which was brought to life by the late Yasuo Momose.
The Aska-made Headway models use a one-piece neck with no joints, which is achieved by purchasing materials from logs, resulting in reliable sound transmission and a beautiful finish.
