Biography
A solo acoustic guitarist who makes the guitar “sing”.
He started posting videos online in Oct. 2007 and awareness of his name increased a lot, especially after the series of videos titled “Rock with Acoustic Guitar”. Today his videos posted online have been viewed over 100 million in total.
In 2011 he played in the SUMMER SONIC, one of the biggest rock festivals in Japan. He participated in the soundtrack of ABC Asahi TV station’s 60th-anniversary drama “Kyouguu”, which was produced by S.E.N.S. With a background of wide musical and instrumental experience, he composes music utilizing his own unique techniques. His music is something beyond typical solo acoustic guitar music and attracts a wide range of people. His guitar playing is emotionally rich and sometimes even makes the guitar scream. People say that it is as if the guitar sang itself.

HJ-OSAMURAISAN II
Osamurai’s first signature model developed based on the concept of “a guitar that is easy to play for beginners”. The second generation HJ-OSAMURAISAN II, a brushed-up version, was later released in 2018.
HM-OSAMURAISAN
This mini-guitar boldly incorporates the Red Spider Lilly flower as a motif. Osamurai’s song title, “Soushibana (相思花)”, is another name for the red spider lilly flower in Japanese.

This true-to-form signature model reproduces the specifications of the original HJ-523 as faithfully as possible.
HSP-OSAMURAISAN Signature Strap
The straps are brightly colored with the theme of a “Hydrangea that Clings to You”, which is also the title of Osamurai’s album for 2020.

HF-KOBOREZAKURA
Based on the specifications and concept of the Sakura guitar by Yasuo Momose made for Osamuraisan, this model was jointly developed by Osamurai and Headway and incorporated into the affordable Headway Japan Tune-up series.
This Sakura guitar, created by 2020 Master Builder Yasuo Momose, presents an image that really matches Osamuraisan’s style. From the top of the head to the fretboard and soundhole, it represents the flow of time from the blooming of cherry blossoms to their falling. This is one of Momose’s specialties, made from carefully selected materials.
Artist’s comments
The sound of HJ-523 is far different from what is associated with its appearance. The body is resonant and well-balanced and produces an articulate tone with lots of clarity. When I stroke it, it produces a bright, bell-like tone which suits my playing style. It is so reliable and has been the only guitar I play with for more than 10 years. Headway is a credible brand led by the master builder Mr. Momose and produces quality guitars at budget-friendly prices.
