I wanted a guitar to pair with my Jazzmaster and was looking for a semi-acoustic when I came across this guitar.
I was honestly nervous about the Micarta wood used for the fretboard, as it was my first time using it.
My impression after actually using it is quite good. It is similar to ebony in feel, and as with the MJM2-STD/NJ, the sound rises well and the nuances of the picking come out well, which leads to my own personal growth.
I hope to grow alongisde these two guitars in the future.
I kept seeing Jazzmasters at music stores and kept trying them out, but although I liked the sound trend, none of them felt right.
Then I came across the MJM2-STD/NJ. I was attracted by its looks and tried it.
For the first time, I had the feeling that “this is what I was looking for”.
The grip of the neck, the sound, the articulation of the sound, and the overal feel were all outstanding among all the guitars I had played.
It doesn’t get lost in the mix, yet it did not interfere with the singing. It has now become one of the guitars that make the sound of SECONDWALL.
